Operation Princess Project

Each February and March, Baby DJ assists young women from economically disadvantaged families to attend their prom or other formal dance. Through this program, we request that members of the community bring their new or gently used gowns to a specified drop off location. Volunteers will then categorize the gowns by size, and create a “boutique” environment (held in the past in donated space) at which the girls in need can come and select the dress of their choice.

The boutique will be open on a specified date after time has been allotted for the donated gowns to be organized. Individuals will be allowed in on a first come, first served basis. All dresses will be given to high school girls who are in need of formal attire for prom or any other formal event. Any dresses that remain after the boutique has closed will be offered for sale to the general public at $5 per dress, and all funds raised will be retained by Baby DJ, Inc. to fund other programmatic activities.
